The complete platform for court reporting and transcription agencies — contractor onboarding, scheduling, worksheets, and QuickBooks invoicing, without the chasing.
Request DemoThe Product
What your staff work from every day: queues of jobs that won't move on their own, a dashboard that counts what's active and what's owed, and reports that put each period's revenue, cost and volume side by side.
Everything from the invitation to the last bill: onboarding paperwork signed inside Legalancer, credentials that chase their own renewals, availability and calendars that block their own time, offers and confirmations that run themselves, and bills built from rates you set — raised by reporters on proceedings, generated at delivery on transcription.
End-to-end proceeding management — booking, coverage, confirmations, the session itself, worksheets, orders and exhibits — with offers, invitations, confirmations, reminders and bill requests emailed for you.
A production pipeline from intake to delivery: optional first drafts on your own template, typist and editor seats, automatic page counts, and one step that raises the invoice and a bill for each linked contractor.
Fifteen reports across court reporting and transcription, all driven by one period picker — this month against last by default — so the numbers an owner asks for are a click away, not a bookkeeper request.
Every connection is built in — no exports, no third-party connectors.

Invoicing, contractor bills and online payment run through a connected QuickBooks Online company; online payment needs QuickBooks Payments on that account.
Legal work involves confidential case files and contractor tax details. This is what actually protects them.
Built For
A deposition comes in from the firm's portal or your booking drawer. Pulse finds the reporters who match the location type and travel radius, you send the offers in one go, and the first to accept takes the seat. Two days out, the reporter and the attorney each confirm from a link. When the session ends the worksheet request goes out; once the worksheets are in, each item ordered at the table becomes an order from a pre-filled drawer, and every billable reporter gets a bill request quoting their hours.
Firms order from your portal with a live estimate, or you create the job yourself — drop the notice on the form and it pre-fills. Typists and editors take their seats from an offer email — and on the jobs where you want a head start, generate a first draft on your own transcript template. The upload is the submission; pages are counted automatically. Deliver once: the client invoice and a bill for each QuickBooks-linked contractor go to QuickBooks in the same step, and with payment on delivery the transcript unlocks when the invoice is paid.
The same system, sized for one person. Start with transcription or court reporting, track every job, invoice every client through QuickBooks Online, and deliver every file from one place — then add reporters and typists when the work outgrows you.

Our Solutions
Without Legalancer
Tax forms, NDA, rate agreement, license copy, bank details — sent by email, returned by scan, half of it missing, all of it in someone's inbox.
With Legalancer
On first sign-in a guided wizard walks them through it: tax paperwork generated and e-signed in-app, your agreements signed with a certificate of signing, credentials uploaded, direct deposit entered and encrypted. Anything skipped stays flagged on their record until it's done.
Without Legalancer
Certifications and insurance certificates sit in a shared folder. Nobody checks the dates until a firm asks why their reporter isn't current.
With Legalancer
Every license, certification and insurance certificate carries an expiry date. Reporters are emailed at 60 days, 30 days and on the day, with a Renew button in their portal. Anything lapsed lands in your queue — and a snoozed alert comes back the moment that reporter is booked.
Without Legalancer
Someone messages five reporters, waits, messages five more, and hopes none of them are two hours out of range. The 10 AM still says Unassigned at 4 PM.
With Legalancer
Pulse finds only the reporters who match the location type, sit inside their own travel radius, and haven't blocked out the time — for interpreters, the language too — and offers the job to all of them in one go. First to accept takes the seat; if it opens up again, anyone still holding an offer can take it.
Without Legalancer
Someone calls every reporter and every attorney the day before to ask whether the deposition is still on. Miss one and you find out at 9 AM.
With Legalancer
About two days out, each accepted reporter and the client get a one-click confirmation link, with a reminder the next day. Anyone who hasn't answered is flagged on the job and in Action Required.
Without Legalancer
The room change is in a text, the parking note is in an email, the "which exhibit?" question is in someone's voicemail. When the reporter asks again, whoever answers starts from scratch.
With Legalancer
Every job carries a conversation with each team member on it — the case and its files already attached, every staff member reading the same history. Declines, returns and submission notes post themselves, and staff-only notes stay off the team member's screen. Coming soon: the client joins the same thread, so the whole job is one conversation.
Without Legalancer
Reporters jot attendance and copy orders on the notice. Ops re-keys what they remember, the hours arrive in an email, and a copy order for opposing counsel goes unbilled.
With Legalancer
When the session ends, every reporter and videographer is emailed a worksheet request and reminded daily until it's filed. Each ordered item becomes an order from a pre-filled drawer — nothing re-keyed — and once the worksheets are in, every billable team member gets a bill request quoting their own hours, billed from the rate card you set.
Without Legalancer
Page counts come from the typist's word, the invoice is built by hand, the reporter's bill is re-keyed from an email, and someone marks things paid after checking the bank.
With Legalancer
Page counts are read from the transcript file itself. Delivery drafts the client invoice and a bill for each QuickBooks-linked contractor from them, and pushes them to QuickBooks in one step. On depositions, the invoice pre-fills from the worksheet's orders and your rate lines. When the client pays, QuickBooks tells Legalancer — nobody marks anything paid.
Without Legalancer
Files are released on delivery, reminders live in a tickler file, and collections is whoever has a spare hour.
With Legalancer
Payment on delivery holds the download until the invoice is paid. Clients pay online through QuickBooks from the invoice email or the portal, and the transcript unlocks in the same moment. Reminder and overdue emails go out on schedule, and every overdue invoice sits in one queue.
Without Legalancer
Attorneys email for status, quotes go back and forth for days, files arrive through links that expire, and payment questions go to whoever picks up the phone.
With Legalancer
Law firms book depositions and order transcripts with a live estimate, approve a quote from an email link, confirm sessions, drop files through a no-login link you send them, and pay from the portal. A paralegal can order for three attorneys and the invoice still reaches accounts payable.
Without Legalancer
Your transcriptionists are at capacity, and the only way to take more volume is to hire more people.
With Legalancer
Turn it on for a job and a first draft comes back on your own transcript template. Its cost shows on the job next to the bills and the invoice, so the margin is never a surprise. And clients can mark just the ranges they need, so your typists type — and you bill — only those minutes. Coming soon: Legalancer for Word, a native add-in that flags likely wrong words, spelling, speaker and house-rule slips inside the team member's document so they fix them before the transcript reaches you.
Without Legalancer
Revenue is in QuickBooks, reporter costs are in emails, transcription tools are on a vendor invoice. Nobody knows which clients or typists actually make money.
With Legalancer
Every job shows what was invoiced, what was billed and what's left. Fifteen reports run on one period, this month against last: operating margin, the accounts that make up most of your revenue, and — on transcription — cost per page and which clients and team members are profitable.
